Mbappe is La Liga's top scorer for the second season in a row
Real Madrid striker Kylian Mbappe has won the La Liga top scorer award for the second consecutive season after scoring 25 goals in 29 La Liga games this season.
Mbappe has become the first Real Madrid player to win the Pichichi award twice in a row since Cristiano Ronaldo did so in the 2014/15 season and becomes the first player to do so in La Liga since Messi won the award for the second time in a row in the 2020/21 season.
Elsewhere, new La Liga champions Barcelona ended the season with a 3-1 defeat to Valencia in the final match of the League while Real Madrid closed the season with a comfortable 4-2 victory over Athletic Bilbao.
FC Barcelona, Real Madrid, Villarreal, Atletico Madrid and Real Betis have finished in the top five positions in the La Liga standings and have guaranteed themselves participation in the Champions League next season.
Despite a resounding 3-0 victory over Real Oviedo, Mallorca have been relegated, joining Girona and Oviedo in the country's second-tier La Liga 2.
