HOW TO GET A LOSS REPORT ONLINE WITHOUT GOING TO THE POLICE STATION
A Loss Report is a report of the loss of property or documents that is issued by the Police Force in Tanzania once a citizen reports the loss of property so that they can receive assistance in recovering their property or being given other items such as an ID card, card or phone and other assets.
The Tanzania Police Force, in ensuring that it facilitates access to the 'loss report' service, has established a system for reporting property loss (Loss Report) online nationwide through the loss report website which is https://lormis.tpf.go.tz .
This system will enable citizens to report the loss of property or documents online and be able to obtain a 'loss report' without having to go to the Police Station, except for those reporting the loss of a firearms license, car license, plot or farm deed, who will have to go to the police station.
Through this system, a citizen can report the loss of property or documents using a computer or phone with internet access.
The information can be provided by a citizen from anywhere as long as they have an electronic device with internet access that they can use to provide the information.
To provide information without coming to the station, a citizen must visit the website https://lormis.tpf.go.tz , which is available in Swahili and English.
Once the citizen logs into the website, he will click on the Register Lost Property button and will proceed to fill out the form he will receive.
After filling out the form, the citizen will be required to make a payment of Tsh 1,000 for the Control Number provided by the System which starts with 99108.
These payments are made through the electronic system, namely the Government electronic Payment Gateway (GePG), on all mobile networks and at banks.
When a citizen pays via mobile phone networks, he will select number 4 (pay bills), then select number 5 (Government Payments) and then enter his payment number (Control number) and pay the amount of 1,000/=.
After making the payment, the citizen will return to the Loss Report system and select the section labeled Search for Information/Confirm Information. Then, he will enter the Control Number and download the PDF of his Loss Report for use.
